APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #11-0047 FOR OFFICE AND CLASSROOM SUPPLIES - WAREHOUSE
Description
Bids to provide 'Office and Classroom Supplies - Warehouse' were received from 12 vendors on March 31, 2011. The bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Ace Office Supplies, Business Stationers, DGS Educational Products, Francbeth, Inc., National Art and School Supplies, Pyramid School Products, Quill Corporation, School Specialty, Smith Office and Computer Supply, and Standard Stationery Supply Company were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bids are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the operating budgets of the schools and departments.
Recommendation
That the bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Ace Office Supplies, Business Stationers, DGS Educational Products, Francbeth, Inc., National Art and School Supplies, Pyramid School Products, Quill Corporation, School Specialty, Smith Office and Computer Supply, and Standard Stationery Supply Company, to provide 'Office and Classroom Supplies - Warehouse' in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
